Masterson’s Tavern , located in the heart of Moonee Ponds , advertises itself as a stylish, alternative venue , but my most recent experience at this establishment turned into one of the worst experiences of my life . While the bar may look welcoming at first glance , what I discovered behind its doors was disturbing and far below any standard .
The State of the Venue : Squalid and Neglected
From the moment I walked in , it was immediately obvious that upkeep was not a priority at this venue. The ground was covered in grime , and a pungent odor of uncleaned spills and uncleaned toilets filled the entire pub. Reeking of a mixture of excrement , a rotting odor and a sickly smell. For a business that caters to patrons, these issues are completely unacceptable and raise serious concerns about the integrity of their products .
